What do i need to do to become a hygienist?? I heard it takes two years?? if so, how can it be done...
Dental Hygienist?
You can do it 2 ways: Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree.
Go to www.adha.org and click on their education link to find schools that offer each. (The website will tell you if the program is an associate's of a bachelor's)
Your pay does not depend on which degree you receive. If you are looking into a Bachelor's degree, you will have to complete 1-2 years of prerequisite coursework in general education (such as sciences, english, sociology, psychology, etc).
Some 2 year colleges will accept you straight out of high school with no prereqs done.
It is hard and very stressful, so be prepared... But, it's worth it.
Reply:technical school or colleges both offer the program and it is a very hard program.
