What are the steps to be a dental Hygienist?

Right now im going to school at Riverside Community College and im working on my prerequisites so i can get into the Dental Hygiene program but what do i do afterwards?

What are the steps to be a dental Hygienist?
I am currently in a Dental Hygiene Program in Ohio- and i know how you feel , wondering what all you have to do and trying to figure everything out... But all you have to do is do all of your pre requisites and then once you get into the program , they will tell you everything. .. The program that i am in is 5 semesters long. Just worry about getting into the program, and then take it from there.

GOOD LUCK!

i know how you feel!

[and try to get used to using your non-dominant hand....you will need it to hold your mirror! ]
Reply:im doing my nvq level 2and 3 in dental care i also want to be a dental hygienist and would like info
Reply:Look at the Dental Hygiene program. It listed all the classes that are needed and a counselor will help you.

Make sure your state isn't trying to pass laws for dental assistants to "scale" teeth. they are trying that here in Missouri-4th time in 5 years now!! It's all about money. They don't want to pay us. so so sad. Our association is constantly fighting them. Call you state dental Hygiene association to find out this info. This law has been passed in Kansas state and Mississippi.

sad, very sad.

Another piece of advice SIT UP STRAIGHT AND LEARN TO YOU YOUR MIRROR! Or you back will KILL you.
