Can anybody advise me of the salaries for dental hygienists in Dallas or the surrounding areas. In New York salary is around $35 per hour.

Cost of living is MUCH lower than New York.

Reply:You won't make $35/hr. More like $45-55K/year. But you have to keep in mind that you can rent a great apartment in this area for less than $1K/month or buy a house for $200K or less. The cost of living difference is substantial and is evident in everything from rent, to groceries, to gas.

Reply:LOL you're not going to get that here. Expect a 30-40% pay cut. Even though Texas has no state tax you won't miss much.
