My friend had a that charge on her record from 6 years ago and said its a misdomenor now. Now she wants to be a hygienist but crys that she might not be able to help people. Her charge was because of self defense, but was still charged harshly because of the situation.
Can someone with domestic violence on thier record become a dental hygienist?
There is no real reason why she shouldn't be able to get a license as a dental hygienist. While it is a licensed occupation, there are only limited facts which can be considered with regard to receiving her license.
She would probably have a hard time working as a nurses aid, or a child care specialist, but, dental hygiene wouldn't likely to be affected by her past charges.
After six years she is eligible to apply to have her conviction expunged from her permanent record, and this makes it impossible for anyone to even open those files without a court order from a court higher than the court that granted the exponent. So, she should go ahead and do what she wants.
Reply:most only stay on for a year a job would be harder but as a owner of a small shop yea.
Reply:I'm sure they could, but they probably wouldn't be allowed to work on their spouse!
Reply:why, so they can fix the damage they did to their girlfriends teeth?
Reply:They can and they should if this is where there heart is at
Reply:go to court [or a lawyer] and get the charges expunged from their record.
